As an important part of higher education, higher vocational colleges and universities should focus on ‘cultivating morality and nurturing people’, put ideological and political work throughout the whole teaching process, and make efforts to cultivate applied talents with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness and aesthetics. With the development of Internet technology, all kinds of ‘micro-media’ are widely used in the network environment, which reconstructs the daily life of college students, broadens the space of ideological and political work of college students, and also opens up a brand-new platform for the strengthening of the ideological and political work of college students. Under the background of ideological and political education, the development of ‘micro-ideological and political’ work in higher vocational colleges and universities is a powerful basis for realising the innovation of ideological and political education methods, expanding the field of ideology and politics, and improving the effect of ideological and political education. Based on this, this study takes ideological and political education as the background, analyzes the deficiencies in the ‘micro-ideological politics’ activities of the Communist Youth League in higher vocational colleges and universities, and puts forward targeted coping strategies from the three aspects of innovating the content of ‘micro-ideological politics’ activities, increasing the mode of students' independent activities, and innovating the platform of ideological and political education and constructing a new mode of ideological and political education, so as to promote the smooth development of the Communist Youth League's “micro-ideological politics” activities in higher vocational colleges and universities and the comprehensive development of the students. to promote the smooth implementation of the activities of college youth league and the comprehensive development of students.
