As the global focus on sustainable development and social responsibility continues to deepen, the role of university councils within the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) governance framework has become increasingly significant. This text explores the pivotal role of university councils in implementing ESG strategies, particularly the specific strategies employed in optimizing educational decision-making processes. The aim is to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for university councils in optimizing decision-making within the ESG governance framework, and to promote a more proactive role for universities in addressing social challenges and environmental issues.
