Abstract

As a classic of Confucianism, the Analects carries the core values of Chinese culture. Junzi is an extremely important cultural image in the Analects and represents an ideal personality standard in Confucian culture. This article combines the original text of the Analects and James Legge's English translation of the Analects to provide some explanation of Junzi's character. The traits exhibited by Junzi image are worthy of our high pursuit to achieve inner peace and self-improvement.
